Beaded Flower Broach

This beautiful broach has been made by Ruth in the beading shop. Here below, are the bits and pieces that were used. The items cost pennies and lots of beading bits left over to make another one!

If you would like to make this broach, why don't you book yourself onto one of the Jewellery workshops, when Ruth and Lynn will be showing you in the next few weeks, how to make this adorable broach. Of course, you may want to choose your own colours for a different look!

Paper Roses

Nicky is on a creative roll and there is no stopping her at the moment. But, who can blame her with the heaps of new papers, stamps, punches and embellishments arriving in the shop daily.

Firstly, there are FIVE lovely 6 x 6 Paper Stacks by K & Co that have arrived and can be purchased here at Flutterby Crafts or at our on-line shop here.

Secondly, there is the arrival of Fizzy Moon Clear Stamps which are so, so cute. Nicky has used the 'Let's Celebrate' clear stamp on this card, which she has coloured beautifully with ProMarkers.

This week Nicky and Lynn have been running workshops on how to make these stunning paper roses.

This rose was created using the K & Co. paper, a flower punch and the Melt Art Melting Pot with Ultra Thick Embossing powder to give an amazing shine to the rose.

The card has been edged with a small heart punch from Tonic Studios Paper Punches.

I am sure you will agree with me, that this beautiful card designed by Nicky has so many inspirational ideas, that you could incorporate into your own projects.

Special thanks to Nicky, for her fantastic workshop on paper roses which I attended last Tuesday evening.

Super Circles!

The latest edition of Making Cards - February 2011 is in stock, so don't forget to come into the shop and collect your copy. Lynn was browsing through the magazine last week and started playing after reading this article......

Lynn has taken inspiration from cards as shown in the magazine, that have been designed by Dee Paramour on page 22 titled Super Circles. Here below, Lynn has made 3 quick, simple cards.

Lynn has used a similar design as highlighted in the magazine, but instead of using an embossing folder she has decided to stamp her design on the circles.

The chipboard circles have been punched, inked, stamped and attached using brads to this card.

This card uses the same theme of the Super Circles but Lynn has used Kaiser flowers to embellish this card with a simple peel-off sentiment on top of the layered papers.

Running with the same Super Circles theme Lynn has used decorative brads, papers and stickers from the Paper Company (Bordeaux collection).

Here are just a few ideas using Super Circles as your theme. Now it's your turn. Why don't you have a play and show your Super Circles themed cards to Lynn when you next pop into the shop.
