ProMarkers - 56 new colours - IN STOCK

Just had some very exciting news from Lynn. We all love the our ProMarkers but guess what.........Letraset have brought out 56 NEW COLOURS for us to play with in time for our Christmas cardmaking. The new colours are IN STOCK NOW and here is a colour chart below of the 56 new colours for you to ponder over. I'm so excited my 1st thought is I want them all!!!!!

Here is the ProMarker Club deal.......What will happen is that when you purchase your first pen, at Flutterby Crafts you will be given a card and colour chart - the card will be similar to the loyalty card only a different colour. Every time you purchase a pen for £1.99 your card will be stamped. Once you have purchased 5 pens you will be offered the 6th for 5p (yes 5p!!).

This equates to 6 ProMarkers for £10. How does that sound?

So, with the ProMarker Club deal, we are the same price as Joanna Sheen and you can pick them up straight away - no waiting for the Postman!!

Just a reminder don't forget to book a place on the Flutterby Crafts ProMarker Challenge Club on the 1st Saturday of every month 2 'til 4 pm, £7.50 per head. For more details click here.

For a bit of fun please leave a comment below and tell us what are the next 5 ProMarker colours on your "I want and need them" shopping list!!!

Pop up Snowman card

This is what the ladies made last night at Nicky's Cardmaking Workshop. I gave you a peep of the pop up card earlier in the week which certainly tempted a few of you to book yourselves into the workshop.

Drum roll........this is what you missed if you were unable to join in.....isn't it lovely?

Don't be sad, there will be an equally lovely card to make on Nicky's Cardmaking class on Wednesday, 7 October 6.30pm 'til 8.30pm. Why not book your place now and give us a call on 01635 860900, pop into the shop or email us on lynn@flutterbycrafts.co.uk

However, if you are still sobbing and you would like to make the pop up Snowman card, with the Ollyfant acrylic stamp, you can always talk to Nicky nicely, and I am sure she can arrange a one to one class during the day.

Wedding Anniversary

Just thought I would let you all know that I am about to be wined and dined by my lovely hubby (I know I moan about him sometimes, but......he's not too bad!!)

It is our 35th wedding anniversary today. Not bad going - we were the original 'they will never make it' couple - and we still manage a laugh together every now and then!!

He is cooking me scollops done to the original Mrs Beaton recipe, my favourite! Might even be a little bit of fizz to drink with it.

Hopefully I will be in a fit state to open the shop in the morning.

See you all there.

Lynn xx

Am I in big trouble

Oh, my goodness me. Am I in big trouble. We had a weekend of fun in the workshop beading and I was supposed to take photos.
Sorry, Joanna.
I forgot the camera on Saturday and I remembered to take it with me on Sunday, but did not have it charged up. I hang my head in shame.
But we did have a great time and we made some lovely bits and pieces. The bells are just divine, the snowflakes are gorgeous and the bracelets & necklaces went well.
I have slapped my wrists and I promise to try harder with the photos.

Have a good week.

We are lucky enough to have Tracy Watkiss visiting us this weekend and you are in for a real treat!

If you book into 4 of the workshops over this weekend the cost is £50 (Bargain!)

To those of you who have booked a workshop with Lynn, Tracy or Ruth (or all 4!) I am sure you will have lots of fun and laughter this weekend.

Unfortunately, I can't attend any of the workshops as my husband has a business trip to China.......how inconsiderate of him!!! However, I shall be pestering Lynn to take lots of photographs of the workshops for the BLOG so I hope you will all knuckle down and produce some lovely items for us all to see in a day or so. Watch this space!

Demonstration Day with Amanda Fowler

Well all of you who dropped into the Demonstration Day held today by Amanda Fowler had a real treat. She was in the shop demonstrating the Art of Decoupage and signed copies of her beautiful new book which has lots of step by step instructions with photographs.

She brought with her lots of wonderful projects that are featured in her book. I turned up in the middle of Amanda showing us how to make beautiful candles with stamped images coloured in with Promarkers. I then stayed to watch another demonstration on decoupage which could be applied to photo frames, plaques, clocks and so on. I was captivated and now I am bursting to try out some of the techniques she demonstrated today.

We were all treated to a cup of tea by lovely Lynn and double points on all our purchases! What a way to spend a Saturday!!!

If you were unlucky to attend the demonstration today on The Art of Decoupage I am sure Lynn may have one or two copies of Amanda's book and the other 3 in the series for you to buy.

Art of Decoupage
Demonstration Day

Saturday, 12 September 2009
10.00 a.m. - 4.00 p.m.
at Flutterby Crafts

By Amanda Fowler

Amanda Fowler has been working with Magmaker, the publishers behind Making Cards Magazine to produce a beautiful book on decoupage. She will be in the shop demonstrating the Art of Decoupage with us this Saturday and signing copies of her book below. Amanda will have with her some of the projects that are featured in the book and she will be demonstrating the techniques.

Amanda says "The most wonderful things about decoupage are: you don't have to be artistic to be good at it, it's great fun, you can be as creative as you want and best of all, there are styles of decoupage to suit all types of crafters."

The Decoupage book contains:-

  • 2 pages of step by step instructions with inspirational colourful photos
  • information on materials, equipment, preparation and basic techniques
  • 17 unique and original decoupage projects including cards, gifts and home decor items

There are 3 other new books in the series on Stamping, Paper Punching and Beading by other leading authors. These books are not available at book shops or in High Street Newsagent or shops.

All 4 books in the series are available at Flutterby Crafts for
£4.95 each while stocks last.
