Canvas using Kaisercraft papers, Turtle Dove collection.

I know I have been a bit over zealous with the photos in today's post but this canvas designed by Nicky Hayden using Kaisercraft papers is absolutely stunning.

There is so much detail and different papercraft techniques here on this canvas that, it just adds richness to the whole project.

I love how Nicky has rolled the edges of the double sided papers and torn some, to add dimension. The twine, velvet ribbon and bell can all be found in the shop.

The Kaisercraft papers from the Turtle Dove collection called Twig & Berry have stunning designs and ooze quality.

The Christmas papers are available in the shop or on-line at The Mulberry Bush.

The Poinsettia's have been cut using a Marianne Design Die which have also been cut out of the Kaisercraft papers.  The lace/velvet ribbon comes in a selection of colours.

Here is a photo showing you how the different elements and paper techniques that Nicky has used just simply work together.

A final photo of Nicky's canvas is on display in the shop, if you would like to take a closer look when you are next in the shop.

Decorated Glass Tray with napkins

Lynn is definitely in the Christmas mood!
She has created this lovely festive display for her candles.

Lynn, recently bought some lovely white candles from her local Dunelm Mill, in Thatcham, West Berkshire.  She has decorated them using Jo Sonja's opal dust, then simply tied some gold ribbon around the base of the candles.

Jo Sonja's Opal Dust is a clear gel containing tiny light reflecting, holographic particles creates an interplay of colours reminiscent of rare gems.  Use alone or with Jo Sonja's Artists' Colours to create glitter effects on most surfaces without yellowing.

Lynn has used  Jo Sonja's Glass & Tile medium to apply the festive napkin onto the glass tray.  A simple technique for all beginners to try out with stunning results.

The glass tray would look stunning as a display piece in your home.

Lynn has positioned the candles on the glass tray and applied some Opal Dust to the holly leaves which will look perfect on the dining table at Christmas.

Oops!  What a morning.  The weather is lousy.  Poor Nicky is suffering from a sickness bug and is tucked up in bed.  I have got to go for an appointment with the TVN at the surgery to (hopefully) finish sorting out my leg!!  Ho hum, sorry, but I will have to shut up shop for an hour from 11'til 12.  The kettle will be put back on as soon as I return. xx

Merry Christmas Card

Lynn demonstrated how to make this quick and effective card at a recent workshop.  If you are new to card making you will be able to make this card with just a few crafting supplies.

The card was inspired by one of Nicky Hayden's cards which you can seen on display in the shop.

The squares can be cut out with your craft cutter, guillotine or with a square craft punch.  The difficult part, is to decide what papers to use!  Here are a selection of Christmas paper pads available on-line at The Mulberry Bush.  However, there is a larger selection of paper pads available in the shop, or they can be bought separately in 12" x 12" sheets.

Lynn punched out the stars using a Woodware giant star craft punch and decorated around them using self adhesive pearls.

She has also used Miracle Adhesive Film by Woodware which has been covered with Glamour Dust (crystal) on the tag and stars.  The sentiment used on the tag was taken from a Rub On transfer available in the shop.

Wooden Kaisercraft Advent Calendar

Following a recent workshop that Lynn held on  decorating Wooden Advent Calendars, one of our customers, Sue Tedeschi was inspired to make another one!

It is simply stunning, so we are so pleased to share some photos of her latest wooden

Her first project was to used the Christmas Tree shape and that inspired her to have a go at the square Kaisercraft Advent Calendar available in the shop or on-line at The Mulberry Bush.

Kaisercraft Advent Calender

She has used Jo Sonja's paints and mediums covering the whole calendar including the inside and outside of all those boxes!

The fun part was to choose from all those delicious Kaisercraft Christmas papers and adhere them to the front of the boxes.

 They look gorgeous, don't they?

Just think of all the little gifts you could put inside each box?

And, Sue has chosen this beautiful Kaisercraft Christmas paper for the centre of the box from the Turtle Dove collection.

Thank you again Sue Tedeschi for sharing these wonderful photos.
