Love album

Nicky (Hayden) recently held a workshop on how to make this adorable 'Love Album' using papers from the First Edition paper pad called 'New Leaf'.

She has used a Bind It All to bind all the pages of the album together. Wires and album covers are available in the shop.

The wooden heart has been stamped and inked around the edges with the addition of

paper flowers, buttons and lace to give dimension to the cover.

Nicky has used an assortment of Kraft card and index cards to complete the album.

Scrapbooking workshops at Flutterby Crafts

Did you see Catherine's latest scrapbook page of her little Angel?

Well I thought I would show you some close up photos of the different elements that have created such a gorgeous scrapbook page.

Catherine has used some Bazzill Bling cardstock as her base page.

She has used one of the Cricut cartridges which is available to use in the workshops to cut out the letters. She has then run the lettering through a Cuttlebug embossing folder and layered them using foam pads.

The Handcut Flowers are by Colour Connection. The smaller flowers and butterfly are punches by

Tonic Studio.

Catherine has brought the elements together using a Rhinestone Swirl.

Here, Catherine has used a Martha Stewart border punch and some decorative heart ribbon from the shop.

And, here is the completed Scrapbook page......simply stunning.

Pop Up Card by Nicky Hayden

Here is a delightful pop up card that Nicky demonstrated in a recent workshop. It was a bit tricky to photograph but I hope you get from the picture how the sentiment pops up at the top of the card.

As you open the card the sentiment pops up!

Nicky has used some elements from the gorgeous Melissa Francis (Jewell) paper and the base card has been made using Core'dinations card.

Here you can see she has cut out some triangles our of paper and attached some pearls to

make the pretty bunting.

Finally, a pretty bow tied with some Teal Lace and other ribbons from the shop with a

paper flower adhered to the centre.

So, on Saturday afternoon I am in the shop - minding my own business, getting on with my work - and in comes this man carrying a BIG box.................full of scarf wool!!!!

Yea, Tonia is back in the shop - plus two new metallic colours - and 4 new colours in the Starlight collection. Joy of all joys!! But you had better get in quick, I cannot guarantee how long it will stay on the shelves.

Also, the new Echo Park parks will be in stock by Tuesday, together with the new Dovecraft Back to Basics. All this to go with the latest Wild Rose Studio...........is there no end to the fun we bring you?

Jo Sonja's iridescent paint

Here is a beautiful bowl that has been wood turned by Tony Harvey.

The bowl has been spun on a lathe and then carved.

Jo Sonja's iridescent paint

has been mixed with some shaving foam to achieve this marble effect.

This technique gives a most wonderful result combined with the smooth texture of the bowl.

.....and the girls go mad!! You want to see the goodies that they have brought for the shop, all while I have been busy cleaning the house. Some people have all the fun.............and you do realise that they will be blaming it all on YOU, the customer. They will be saying that they were only thinking of giving you something nice to play with.

This is just a little taster of the papers that are coming........Echo Park at its best!!!!!

I am told that it is due to arrive on Tuesday..................looks like we will be busy re-organising the shop!!

I thought I would give you a closer look at the elements on the page.

Simple title cut out of papers above relevant Christmas photo.

A lovely memory of a special moment on Christmas Day.

I like how Catherine has punched out squares using different papers and added her own journalling.

Catherine has used ribbons from the Cart-Us range which co-ordinates with the Christmas papers.

Also, she has added dimension to the page by incorporating a

wooden embellishment and buttons.

She has used a mixture of Scrapbook papers namely We R Memory Keepers and other

coordinating papers found in the shop or on-line.

Hi Everybody

So, there we go, another Christmas over and another year started. On Boxing Day one of my sisters wrote, on Facebook, 'months in the planning one day to enjoy then one month to clean up' - how right she is.

At the shop we have been working with Christmas stuff since JULY, so I think we will all be glad to see the New Year and Spring coming!! We are all busy looking at the suppliers to see what is coming up new - especially Nicky and Cate, they are checking out some brilliant new suppliers!!!

New Year, new start, new ideas!! Talking of which, in my last newsletter I was bemoaning the fact that I had finished the new website but I was having a problem getting it 'live'. We that has now been sorted!! How smug am I feeling?!?!?

Well, we have managed to finish the stock take in record time (shhh, don't tell Sarah, but there was a bit of guessitamation going on!). Nicky & I started moving and cleaning through the shop today, ready for tomorrow (Thursday) - our first day of the New Year!!

Remeber that you should have your January Voucher, 10% off of your next visit to the shop. Also, we will have a few 'specials' going on during the month!!

And the workshops start again in earnest this weekend!! We begin with the Knit'n'Natter in the Bead & Wool Shop. 10 'til 4pm, Saturday - come for 10 mins or stay all day!! New Year, New project.

Then, in the afternoon, Nicky will be kick starting this years Pro-Marker Club - 2pm 'til 4pm. And, if you are lucky, she will be showcasing the new Flex-Marker pens!!! Remember, Nicky will set a challenge, enter it and you could be in for one of the New Year Prizes (details on Saturday!).

Just think - you could Knit in the morning and colour in the afternoon!! Is there no end to fun we offer you????

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Hi Everybody

This really, truely is the very last newsletter for 2011!! And I promise I am not going to drool on for too long.

I just wanted to wish you all one final Merry Christmas. I also wanted to congratulate Kath Clouston for winning the little competition that I set in the last newsletter. Kath has won a voucher for workshop, well done!!

Just to let you know that I typed Christmas 10 times!!!

The shop is now shut and I am sitting with my feet up. I currently have a cup of tea in my hand, but I will probably be having something a little bit stronger once I have finished typing this (that will guarantee that I won't talk for too long!!).

We will be re-opening on Thursday morning (29th December) 10 'til 3pm. Thursday will be the first day of our pre-stocktake sale. We will be having 20% off of all purchases across both shops with 40% off of Christmas stock.

Also, on Thursday we will be having an Get Away Craft Day. If you fancy a break from the housework, the kids and the hubby - if you want to give them a chance to watch the tv and play their computer games, why don't you come and join us. Knit and natter, scrap and chat, daub and dawdle, bead and banter, make and mutter. If you got any craft goodies for Christmas and want help or would just like to sit and play, come and join us. 11am 'til 3pm. Pop in for 10mins or stay all day.

Now, I did not manage to get the new website live - anybody know how to get someone in Thus/Demon to understand human speech?!?!? Die Cut Christmas Tree Card

Here is a die cut card above designed by Nicky Hayden

These die cut cards are available in the shop.

When the card is shut it is 5.5" x 5.5" and comes in plain white textured card ready for you to decorate with your favourite Christmas papers.

Nicky has used an assortment of papers coordinated with a few embellishments.

There are a range of templates in the shop and for this gorgeous House Card she has used the Georgie Porgie template. This particular kit contains 6 fabulous templates, ideas sheet and come stored in a handbag, which you can use as a box/envelope template.

The template bags make perfect Christmas gifts to a fellow crafty friend or relative!

Using up leftovers!

No, I am not talking turkey but crafty bits and bobs.

Nicky Hayden set a challenge recently to make up some cards using leftovers and

papers from her crafty stash!

Here is one of the cards that she designed.....

She used papers from We R Memory Keepers - Holly Jolly 12 x 12 double sided paper found here on-line.

The Holly punch for the wreath is from Woodware and the Deer is a paper motif

from a one of the Kars Paper Pads in the shop.

Beads from the Bead shop have been used to embellish the card with a dab of

Jo Sonja's Opal Dust on the Holly Wreath.

Happy New Year!!

Hi Everybody

Only 1 week to go until my favourite day!

Now, I can hear you thinking 'what is that woman on? It is more than 1 week til Christmas'. I am not mad (well, not too mad!).

My favourite day in the whole year is the 21st December!! That is the shortest day of the year (follow my thoughts, now) and the 22nd December is the first day in which the evening start to get lighter. Brilliant.

But, that does also mean that Christmas is just around the corner. The girls and I are looking forward to a little break. Catching up with the family and (hopefully) doing a little bit of crafting for ourselves.

So this (probably) will be the last full newsletter before the New Year. This is an important newsletter that you must hang on to, because it will have the details of our opening times over Christmas/New Year (down the bottom of the page) AND it contains a little pressie for you for the New Year.

Those of you that have already looked at the bottom of the page, will see that I am opening for a little while between the holiday weekends. On those days I will be putting some of the stock on special offer. There will be various bits discounted up to 40% off!! So make sure you pop in and see what is happening.

In the last newsletter I wrote 'On the Thursday, between Christmas and New Year, would any of you fancy a quick get-away?' - if you cannot remember, this link will lead you to a copy of the letter:

Now, I am still happy to organise this if anybody is interested, but I will need to have some idea if people will turn up - it would not be fair for me to ask the girls to come in if no one is going to come. So, please, do let me know if you are interested.

Remember that, as usual, we will be closed for the first couple of days in the New Year, for our annual stock take (yuk!!). If any of you are bored on that first Tuesday and Wednesday in the New Year, come and join us counting papers & beads!! We have quite a laugh actually.

This week is the last run of the workshops until the New Year. The classes kick off on the 7th January with the first Promarker club. The first one will be a very special one, because we are getting in stock the Flexmarker!!

If you are a dedicated Promarker user you will, no doubt, have heard about the Flexmarker Pens. We are bringing them in to stock in singles and there are some stunning colours. The Flexmarker works with the Promarkers - so you do not need to change, you can just add!!

The new workshop brochure is in production at the moment and I will let you all know about it once it is out. Of course, it will be published on the website and the blog - which brings me nicely into telling you about the first of some of our changes.

Our NEW WEBSITE will be up and running before Christmas! Joanna is just checking it out to make sure that I have not made any big boo-boo's!

I have built it myself and I can say quite categorically that I am very pleased with it. I have made it so it matches the blog - but just slightly different. Once it goes 'live' I will let you all know.

The other thing is that we will be introducing a few new ideas for classes, there is going to be a Beginners Knitting Class starting in January - it is a 6 week workshop and will be run by a lovely lady called Amanda Bond.

Amanda is extremely talented knitter and so good that she writes her own patterns (I am impressed!). I am looking forward to working with her.

And there will be a Thursday Craft Club - not finalised all the details yet, but watch this space for more information.

Ohh! Lots to intrigue you!! Loads to watch out for! Exciting times. Roll on 2012.

So I am now going to leave you to enjoy yourselves continuing to prepare for the Christmas break. You never know but I might get some organising done myself (ha! ha!). But I will leave you with this picture and a question for you - where do you think the adult sit in our house?

Jo Sonja workshop with napkins

Well, if you popped into the shop on Saturday you will have seen a flurry of activity. Lynn could not run the last Jo Sonja class (of the year) in the workshop so she ran it downstairs in the shop.

You should have seen what the ladies were making....some gorgeous gifts for Christmas using

Jo Sonja's paints and mediums with napkins.

I warn you there are lots of photos (and the lighting is not great) but I wanted to share with you the lovely decorated items that Pauline, Hannah, Jackie, Mel, Corrine and Effie made on Saturday under the guidance of Lynn.

The photos are of projects that they were working on whilst I popped in and are not completed.

I think Lynn enjoyed the afternoon as much as the ladies, even though she didn't get a cuppa all afternoon!

Here are the ladies in the shop busy, busy!

Jackie made this lovely Christmas Bauble for her DAD using napkins and Jo Sonja's paints.

Jackie also decorated this candle using napkins and some
Jo Sonja's Opal Dust to give the sparkly effect.

She also started to decorate this glass tray.

Hannah decorated 3 polystyrene stars with napkins and ribbons.

Hannah said she was going to make a garland out of her handmade stars.

Corrine decorated this 'Home' monologue, which she said she had made for herself!

Pauline decorated a wooden Christmas Tree and used some of the new Artemio wooden shapes.

This was Effie's first time to a Jo Sonja's workshop and she decorated
this stunning bauble using napkins.

Here is Effie, proud as punch to share with you her (unfinished) glass tray.

The phrase "Didn't they do well" comes to my mind!

Christmas Gift Wallet

Select your favourite papers and card stock for the look you would like to create. Just change the papers and these wallets could be for any occasion......birthday, Mother's Day, Father's Day etc.

You will also need some foam strips and an acetate sheet for the window.

The front of the wallet can be embellished how you wish but this gorgeous rich Christmas paper does it all!

Nicky (Hayden) has just added a foiled die-cut sentiment to the front of the wallet.

This makes a gorgeous gift.......far nicer than those shop bought voucher envelopes.

A velcro spot and brad just finish off the clasp.

Christmas Gift Bag

The design for this bag made by Nicky Hayden was inspired by Lori Pachkowsky who is on the Design Team for Whiff of Joy Stamps.

Festive papers from the shop have been used for this simple box together with Festive embellishments arranged on the front of the box.

I love how Nicky has tied the tartan bow to the scalloped handle with such attention to detail.

All boxed up ready with goodies inside to give as a perfect gift!

Newsletter - December 2011

No pressure then!!

Hi Everybody

Well, I am sitting here with a cup of tea and a choccy biscuit so, I guess, you had better do the same - not sure how much rambling I am going to be able to do!!

How sad is it that we are already onto the final few weeks of countdown to Christmas? And how many of you ar ready for it? 'Cos I know that I am not anywhere near ready!!

But, I will tell you something that will surprise you all (so I hope you are sitting down!!) I had a week off!! A holiday, a break!! Did not do much just cleaned the kitchen, sorted out some cupboards and had some fun. We had a day out to met Helen and Jet at the Bristol Aquarium, it was brilliant. So lovely to see them.

And the we had a house full of dogs - couldn't say that was brilliant. Manic - yes, brilliant? probably not! But it was fun. Honey (Mum of Buzz & Kite) came to stay with Poppy (Kites Sister). So we had Kip (miserable old boy), Bridie (on speed!), Honey (4 years old but still feeling like a puppy), Buzz (15 months old and still considers himself a puppy), Kite and Poppy (14 weeks old and definitely puppies!!). Oh, boy! Feeding time was fun!

This picture shows Honey being ambushed by her three hooligan children!! I tried taking lots of pictures, but they kept moving before the camera clicked!!

So, anyway - I have come back this week for a well earned rest, yes I know I am supposed to GO for a rest not come back for a rest!! Ho hum. And we are into December, countdown to that most manic time of the year which will leave us exhausted and wondering what all the fuss was about!!

How miserable and cynical that sounded!! Ba, humbug! Sorry.

But we have got some things happening to take us up to that magical time!

Tomorrow is Knit'n'Natter day - 10 'til 4 in the Bead'n'Bits shop. Come for a short time, come for all day - it is up to you! It does not cost anything, but we do ask for donations to our chosen charity for the teas & biscuits!!

And then, in the afternoon, it is Promarker Club. 2 'til 4 (or there abouts) - the last one before the end of the year, how sad is that. Not sure what Nicky has up her sleeve, but she doesn't usually let you down!!

Saturday, the 10th will be the last Jo Sonja's of the year (sob!), so if you have in mind to do the napkin art on any Christmas pressies, this will be your last opportunity.

If you have youngsters that fancy having a go at a bit of crafting, the 19th is the day for you. We will be helping them to make some lush Chrissy pressies perfect for Mum or Dad, Nan or Grandad. It will be for 7 years upwards and there will be two tables (Gift for Her and Gift for Him) and it will cost £7.50 per gift, each gift taking around an hour!!! Please book your youngster in as places will be limited.

I tell you what, I should be the size of a house (not comments!), I am eating choccy biscuits like fury while typing this!!

The 19th will be the last of our workshops for this year, but I have something for you all to ponder.

On the Thursday, between Christmas and New Year, would any of you fancy a quick get-away?

The idea is that we will have the tables out in the shop and you can bring your crafting stuff - especially if you got some new gear for Christmas and need some inspiration with it. It will be a turkey & pudding free zone! Not a Christmas cracker in sight!

Nicky will be here to help if you have received some stamps & are not sure what to do with them. Catherine will be here to help kick start the scrap-booking. Ruth & I will be here with the answer to Jewellery & Knitting.

If you think it would be a good idea, please let me know and I will continue with the arrangements. I will be looking to have it running from 11 'til 3pm and, of course, you will probably get permission to leave the house so that hubby can veg in front of the tv & have a good snore!!

Well, I have run out of choccy biscuits so I am going to call it a day there.

Only to add that we have a load of new beads in the shop.

Watch out for changes to the demo area - we can feel a make-over coming up. And the new workshop brochure should be out very soon, with some exciting news about additional classes.

Woodware Patchwork Dove Card

On a previous post here I showed you how Nicky Hayden had decorated a card using the same Woodware Patchwork Dove Stamp.

Here, Nicky has a totally different look to the card. She has used different papers and used the colours from the papers to colour the dove with her watercolour pencils.

She has used some gorgeous pink ribbon and a chunky button with some twine to bring a lovely delicate touch to the card.

Nicky has used one of the Wild Rose Studio Christmas Circle Sentiment stamps and some glossy accents (which does not show up very well on the photo.....apologies!)

We would love to hear your comments on which is your favourite card out of the two!

Patchwork Dove Stamp by Woodware

My project will be this pretty trinket box, a lovely addition to the dressing table.

Nicky's project is this delightful Notelet Set, filled with the cutest of note cards. Perfect.

Ruth will be focusing on Christmas beading, with a choice of a star or a Christmas tree decoration.

Hi Everybody

Earlier this year, when we were setting the diary, someone had a good idea that we could run an event in the middle of November giving ideas for making quick Christmas gifts. Not sure who that someone was - although I can hear the girls shouting loudly 'it was YOU, Lynn' - not how I remember it at all!!

Anyway, with all that has been going on time has passed us by and now THAT weekend has suddenly appeared and the girls are saying to me 'well, what do you want to do?'. What do I want to do? I thought THEY were the ones that were supposed to come up with the ideas!!

So, we have talked about it, we have thought about it, we have talked some more and this is now the plan -

On Saturday we will be running quick Make'n'Takes in the shop, from 10am 'til 4pm. No booking necessary, just come and join in. There will be four tables up and running.

Table 1 - Nicky & a Notelet Set

Table 2 - Cate & a Mini Album

Table 3 - Ruth & a ..... need to talk to Ruth about this

Table 4 - Lynn & a Trinket Box

Each project will take about an hour (give or take 3 or 4, in our usual fashion). Come when you are ready, join in, stay for 1 or all 4, up to you. The cost will be £5 per table, if you are brave enough to do all 4 we will find you a little present!!

The mince pies will be out in force and the kettle will be on - I cannot wait!!

Actually, thinking about it, I am looking for you all to provide me with a refuge on Saturday - because this house is bedlam. Why is it bedlam, I can hear you asking and, don't worry, I am about to tell you.......guess who has (stupidly) volunteered themselves to take care of our friends two dogs? Yes, yes, I know...with 4 dogs of our own, taking in another 2 is madness. And you are right .....especially when it means that you have TWO 15 week old puppies running around creating havoc!!!

Why, oh why, do I put myself forward for this type of madness?

Oh, they have all suddenly worn themselves out....peace reigns for a few minutes!!

What other news have I got for you? I know, we have got lovely shiny scarf wool in, very much like the Tonia, but not quite (bit like that add, sounds like a Golf but isn't!) AND the next batch of Tonia should be in by Friday.

We have also become stockists of SCRAP 365, the very new Scrapbooking Magazine from Traplet publishers and we have issue no 1 in stock now!!

I understand that it is a fabulous magazine and I would be able to confirm this fact, but Cate is currently hugging our copy to herself. The rest of us have not been able to get a look in.

And, because we are bringing in SCRAP 365, we are also bringing back in Craft Stamper and Beads & Beyond. Does your fun never end?!

Oops, our hairy monsters are about to stir again........got a feeling this is going to be a long night........wonder if I can talk GC into spending the night down here with them, while I enjoy a good nights sleep in that big, comfortable bed!!

This photo shows the beautiful gift tag that Liz made, last week, in her class. If you fancy having a go at learning to paint, then Liz is the person for you. We will be working on next years workshop brochure over the coming weeks, so watch out for it.

Artemio - Rustic Wooden Hearts

These new Rustic Wooden Hearts by Artemio have just arrived.

They are crying out to have some Jo Sonja's paint and mediums applied...don't you think?

Here is an idea from Artemio.........

Step by step:

	Coat the whole surface of the wooden hearts with vinyl adhesive using the brush.
	Pour a pot of red glitter onto a plate or saucer. Dip the hearts in the plate or saucer.
	Allow to dry. Punch out hearts and disks in different sizes with various assorted glitter-covered paper on them. Glue punched-out patterns to the branches of the wreath using the glue gun. Pass a red ribbon through the ring of hearts, then stick on the hearts, spreading them around the wreath.

Pop into the shop soon, as I can see these rustic hearts going out of the door very quickly!

Just wanted to let you all know that I will be attending the UK Decorative Painters trade show on the 4th December, from 10'til4, at:

I will be there with the Jo Sonja's paints and as many products as I can fit into the car (poor car!)

Liz Black will be joining me. Liz will be running a make'n'take table and, hopefully, doing a workshop (I'll give her a drop of wine tonight and convince her that it makes sense!!).

Liz has being doing some stunning work with us over the past few months and she has fired up all of the ladies around here, in Berkshire, with her Christmas Gift Ideas. So come and have a go yourself.

Festive Wishes with Mia

So here, as promised, are some more photos from one of the cards made at the

Christmas Card Fun workshop.

Nicky has made this acetate card using the new Mia with Candy and the

Christmas Circle stamps from Wild Rose Studio.

She has coloured the lovely Mia with Candy image using ProMarkers.

Nicky has used a selection of Christmas papers which can be found in our

Christmas paper pad section here.

As always, Nicky pays attention detail to the back of the image and

acetate by layering more Christmas papers which neatly finishes off the inside of the card!

Christmas Card Fun weekend workshops

Nicky and Lynn ran the recent Christmas Card Fun weekend and helped the ladies make a selection of alternative Christmas cards using various card making techniques.

A pop up card with the NEW Wild Rose Studio stamps and sentiments.

Chalking around the 'Robin' card to give dimension to the card edges.

Backing paper for a card was made using this delightful robin napkin!

An acetate card was made using the latest Mia with Candy Cane stamp and ProMarkers.

A money wallet was made using some new Christmas papers from the shop.

A gift card wallet was made using a selection of papers from the shop.

Over the next week or so I shall be showing in more detail the projects that were
made is you were unable to join in the workshops!

Last Saturday we had a great turn out when Liz Black came along to Flutterby Crafts and demonstrated how to decorate acrylic baubles, glass trays and acrylic hearts.

Tuesday - Scrapbook Workshop

Here are some photos from a recent Tuesday, Scrapbook evening run by Catherine.

She has used an assortment of flower and leaf punches, brads and gems which are

all available in the shop.

For the whole layout Catherine has used papers from the Melissa Frances Paper Pack called Kitschy Kitchen which co-ordinates beautifully.

The white background to the layout comes in 12" x 12" cardstock which is pre embossed.

Finally, Catherine has added these chipboard letters which give the final touch to the layout.

Scrapbooking workshop - Tuesday eveinings

On the 13th September Catherine started her new Scrapbooking Class on alternate Tuesday evenings with this stunning scrapbook layout.

She has decorated one of the new chip board frames with scrapbook papers that have recently come into the shop.

Can you believe what the Children are like when parcels come into this shop?

Catherine had the parcel opener ready BEFORE the delivery guy had finished parking!!

Prima flowers, Graphic 45 papers, Kars Christmas pads, laces and ribbons and shapes, swirls and diamantes, so much fun!

Now we just need to re-organise and get it all fitted in. Great fun!

Broderie Cardstock

Lynn asked me to put this box here on the blog which I recently made using the stunning Broderie Cardstock. It is a perfect weight of cardstock for making boxes and gives a luxurious, expensive look.....don't you think?

I simply backed and lined the box using Bazzill cardstock, made a bow and added a rhinestone pearl heart embellishment.

This cardstock is perfect for making your own wedding and special party stationery which comes in 12"x12" sizes.

Available in the shop are these pre-cut packs of 4 cards and envelopes which come in 5" x 5" in single colours.

If you check the Wedding Gallery you will find plenty of inspiration using the same cardstock (all the cards have been designed by Catherine).

Christmas Easel Card

Nicky made this Easel card using the First Edition - Festive Treats Paper Pad.

There are 48 sheets 8" x 8" paper pad with glitter effects and double sided designs.

They are a new fun Christmas collection from the illustrator Helz Cuppleditch for First Edition Paper. Helz has mixed hand drawn designs of tiny gingerbread houses, candy canes and lollipops with tradition Christmas elements such as festive wreaths, snowmen, santas, and holly leaves. The colour palette is an eclectic mix of traditional reds and greens with a flash of cool blue.

Each pad contains 16 different designs - 8 with a glitter effect and 8 with a double sided print.

Here Nicky has made a paper ribbon from one of the sheets in the pack and

decoupaged the house.

The paper ribbon on the card looks really effective layered onto the gorgeous Noel paper

from the same pack.

Nicky has added the Father Christmas element onto the card which looks lovely

with the glittered effect.

Fiona & Nicky will be here having fun with the Enamelling system and the Fimo clay. These workshops will be good for beginners and for the more experienced as a refresher.

Knitathon and Wool Launch

Hi Everybody

This really is a very quick note about the Knitathon tomorrow, that is, Saturday, 3rd September.

All the wool has arrived. Yea!!

Some of it has gone. Yea!!

Notice gap of wool on bottom shelf and
disappearing balls of wool on top shelf!

And it has been replaced. Very Yea!!

We will be here from 9.30am 'til 5pm with the kettle on and some cake on the go. You can pop in and pop out as is your fancy. It will only be Ruth and I that will be tied to knitting all day!!

We a have a basket of wool available for the knitting of squares and do have a few knitting needles available.

If you do not want to knit a square, but would like to bring along your own knitting - that is ok. All we want is some knitting fun!!

One smallproblem......the knitting needles were supposed to have arrived this afternoon,and they have not come - which means they will probably arrive on Monday, toolate!! So, if you have your own knitting needles, please could you bringthem - it will make life easier.

The other thing, if your Man is going to be looking boredtomorrow there is an Ale and Cider fest going on in the field. Could befun. (with a bit of luck, we might get some samples - imagine the stateof our knitting with a few ciders inside us!!)

The Promarker Challenge club will be going on in the workshop asnormal. Not sure what Nicky has up her sleeve, but it is bound to be good.

So we will see you tomorrow, whether it is for 10 minutes or forthe whole day, come and have some fun.
