held at the Newbury Racecourse, Berkshire

Flutterby Crafts will have a stand on the 1st floor, so just follow the signs for the Hubby Creche (yes, you can drag your hubby along, to carry all your goodies!).

The Hubby Creche went down very well last year and a gentleman named B Williams took the time to send Lynn this delightful e-mail after the show...........

While visiting Newbury craft fair on sat 3rd July with my wife, I was most pleasantly surprised to find that "Flutterby Crafts" had thought of us poor hubbies, and supplied a comfortable Hubby creche for us drivers/bag carriers!!

They had supplied numerous magazines and newspapers and also ice cold drinks at no charge. This was a very thoughtful thing to do and hope that this will take off in the future. 

Thanks once again to Flutterby Crafts and to yourselves on another great craft fair that my wife thoroughly enjoyed.

Cheeky Monkey

For this Scrapbook page Catherine has used lots
of papers by FIRST EDITION using the SUMMER BREEZE
paper pack which work beautifully together.
  The pack includes some double sided and glittered effect sheets.

Here she has used the CHEEKY MONKEY clear stamp
from BAZOO which she has coloured with her ProMarkers.

In addition to the colour coordinated papers Catherine has
added dimension to the page by using
punches, ribbons, buttons, rub on transfers and glittered
 flowers with great effect.

Just a reminder that Catherine will be running a SATURDAY CROP on:-

 You will have access to all our workshop tools in the PLAYROOM and Catherine will be there to give you a hand with your scrapbook projects.

Wooden Tray

Take a look below at how Lynn has transformed 
this plain undecorated tray. 

Beautifully decorated!
Firstly, she dry sponged the tray with Jo Sonja's paints.

Then she applied the napkin to the tray with Jo Sonja's mediums.

TO THE BEST DAD for FATHER'S DAY by Catherine.

Just adapt the look of the card with different papers,

 stamps and sentiments to suit the occasion.

Here is the side view to show you how Catherine has scored
the card from an A4 piece of Kraft card available in the shop.

She has used the popular clear acrylic stamp by
HELZ CUPPLEDITCH called GONE FISHING.

A stamped sentiment, cut out and glittered around the edges
with a ribbon tied down the side of the card finishes
this adorable card layered onto gingham card.

Father's Day Card

If you haven't already made your Father's Day card yet, here is a sample Nicky has made to inspire you to get creating for Father's Day.  If I can remember correctly from when I took the photo this card is 8"x8"!

The papers Nicky has used for this card are by 
FIRST EDITION from the SUMMER BREEZE 
collection of paper pads which come
 in various sizes.

Nicky has also decorated the inside of the card 
with stamps and papers to co-ordinate 
with the front of the card.

Here she has used one of the
KAISERCRAFT rub-on transfers
from the FATHER pack.

The edges of the die cut label have been 
sponged around the edges.

The clear acrylic stamp by 
HELZ CUPPLEDITCH has been
beautifully coloured in and is called
GONE FISHING.

Rain, rain and more rain. I know that we desperately need it, but isn't it amazing how quickly we get fed up of it!!

Penny the Pig

This is Penny the Pig (a Piggy Bank) and will reside
in the papercraft shop for you all to admire.
Lynn decorated her recently using
JO SONJA'S PAINTS and MEDIUMS.

You can find JO SONJA'S PAINTS in the shop or on-line.
 She has been painted in pink acrylic paint and
then covered in PINK ROSE NAPKINS.

How did that sprinkle of OPAL DUST get there
and does my bum look big?

Crafters Car Boot Sale

Those of you who came last year to the Crafter's Car Boot Sale at Flutterby Crafts, picked up some fantastic bargains from other Crafter's selling their surplus goodies.

Maybe, you want to de-clutter your craft cupboards and get rid of some of your crafty stuff you no longer use.  If so, now is the time to book a table at the Crafters Car Boot Sale at Flutterby Crafts to earn yourself some pennies!

Even if you are new to crafting, or you know someone who is just starting out, bring them along to see what other crafters are selling at give away prices.

Beer Mat Scrapbook Album - KaiserCraft

Catherine has made this adorable
Beer Mat album
using items available from Flutterby Crafts,
NOT including the gorgeous Freyja!

The album uses 3 beer mats which have been secured together
with ribbon and beads from the Bead Shop,
so that it can be hung up to be on constant display,
and why wouldn't it! 

The papers Catherine has used are by KaiserCraft
from the Candy Lane collection which are
 available from the shop and on-line.

The multi detail Butterfly punch is by Tonic Studio and is
available in the shop.

More Tonic Studio punches available on-line.

Buttons, beads and ribbon add dimension to the album 

with colours chosen to co-ordinate with the papers.

Even the back of the beer mats have been
decorated with the KaiserCraft papers
which can have some more photos added
as you so wish.

Crystal Montee Bracelet

Ruth has made this seeded bracelet using seed beads together with new Crystal Montees that come in some lovely colours and sizes.

Remember, once a month we hold a Jewellery Drop-In with Ruth in the Bead Shop for those interested in Jewellery making and a regular weekly Beading workshop on Tuesday evenings.

We have some new KaiserCraft pearl flourishes in the shop and on-line which are just perfect to decorate your scrapbook projects. They can be used as one whole piece or separated by using a craft knife as you wish.

Catherine has designed this gorgeous scrapbook page celebrating Freya's 1st birthday!

Scrapbook paper is by KaiserCraft which is double
sided from the Duchess collection.

Catherine has overlapped the KaiserCraft flourish over
the photo and swirling around the wording.

The sentiment on the KaiserCraft rub on transfer sits
beautifully on thescrapbook page to accompany
the photo.

Pearls and lace ribbon give a simple elegant
effect down the side of the scrapbook page.

A craftylicious day at Flutterby Crafts

Everyone who came along to the Flutterby Tea Party last weekend had a wonderful time and if you were not able to make it, take a look at these photos from the days activity.

The Tea Party event, organised by Lynn, was to help raise much needed funds for the Rainbow Rooms at the Newbury District Hospital.   A magnificent £175.00 was raised by all of you who came along and kindly donated money for joining in the craft, Make and Take tables.  

The sun shone, the wind blew, the cakes were delicious, the cuppa wasn't bad and the crafting Make and Take tables were craftylicious!

Bazoo is here!!

This afternoon Catherine was like a little girl in sweet shop - non-fattening ones at that!!

The Bazoo Collection by Helz Cuppleditch arrived

and it is GORGEOUS, so much fun.

I am not sure who I like the most, the heffalump or the lion.

I might have to have a play with both.

We also received some new Craftime stickers and bits.

All will be on the shelves by end of play tomorrow (if it lasts that long!!!!)
